We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Christians should be the most diligent people on the planet. Sadly this is often not the case as we are outspent, outthought and outperformed oftentimes by the very opponents of the Gospel. Is there any cause greater than fighting for the eternal salvation of souls? Is there any book more accurate and relevant and thrilling than the inspired Word of God? Is there any power greater than the Holy Spirit? Is there any god who can compare with our God? Then where is the diligence, the dedication, the determination of His people?
Randy Smith

Remember that the man who truly repents is never satisfied with his own repentance. We can no more repent perfectly than we can live perfectly. However pure our tears, there will always be some dirt in them; there will be something to be repented of even in our best repentance. But listen! To repent is to change your mind about sin, and Christ, and all the great things of God. There is sorrow implied in this; but the main point is the turning of the heart from sin to Christ. If there be this turning, you have the essence of true repentance, even though no alarm and no despair should ever cast their shadow upon your mind.

INGREDIENTS

4 Ripe pears
Red wine or red grape juice
White wine or jasmine tea
4 T Syrup
Mint sprigs, for decoration
Icing sugar, for decoration

INSTRUCTIONS

Take four ripe pears, peel, core and quarter two of them and freeze
them. Carefully peel the other two pears and poach one in red wine and
one in white. If you prefer not to use wine, poach one in jasmine tea
and one in red grape juice. Halve the pears and remove the core. Put
the frozen pears in the blender or food processor with 3 to 4
tablespoons syrup and blend until smooth. You can make this before
dinner and it will retain its soft texture in the freezer for a couple
of hours. When ready to serve, arrange the two pear halves and some
sorbet on chilled plates and serve immediately. Mint sprigs and a
dusting of icing sugar decorate the plate simply. Posted to EAT-L
