We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

When the New Testament speaks of the church’s glory, it is speaking of its dignity. By analogy, the husband is called to give himself to the purpose of establishing his wife in the fullness of dignity. When he uses his authority to destroy his wife’s dignity, he becomes the direct antithesis of Christ. He mirrors not Christ but the Antichrist.
R.C. Sproul

Propitiation addresses the wrath of God. It is the work of Christ saving us from God’s wrath by absorbing it in His own person as our substitute. Expiation, which basically means “removal,” accompanies propitiation and speaks of the work of Christ in removing or putting away our sin. Such is the symbolism of the two goats used on the Day of Atonement. The first goat represented Christ’s work of propitiation as it was killed and its blood sprinkled on the mercy seat. The second goat represented Christ’s work of expiation in removing or blotting out the sins that were against us. The object of propitiation is the wrath of God. The object of expiation is the sin, which must be removed from His presence.

or about 6 chives
A handful of currants
2 Handfuls minced walnuts
lightly toasted
2 T Extra-virgin olive oil or
walnut oil up to 3

INSTRUCTIONS

Preparation time: Less than 15 minutes Yield: 3 or 4 servings This is
a subtle and elegant salad with small touches of scallions, walnuts,
and currants. Balsamic vinegar is the first choice to use here, but
champagne or raspberry vinegar will be just as effective. If you clean

prepare. Wrap the cleaned greens in paper towels, then refrigerate in
a plastic bag until use. Clean, thoroughly dry, and chill the
greens. Tear into bite-sized pieces, and place them in a salad bowl.
2) Finely mince the scallions or chives. Add them to the greens, along
with the currants and walnuts. 3) Drizzle in the oil and toss well.
Then sprinkle in the vinegar and a little salt and pepper. Toss again,
and serve immediately. www.molliekatzen.com 2/99 Recipe by: Adapted
