Dairy Sauce 8 Servings

INGREDIENTS

2 T Butter
2 T Flour
1 c Milk
1 Onion studded with
2 up to
3 Whole cloves
1/2 Bay leaf
Grating of nutmeg

INSTRUCTIONS

Melt butter over low heat.  Add and blend in flour over low heat for  3
to 5 minutes.  Slowly stir in milk. Add onion studded with cloves  and
bay leaf. Cook and stir the sauce with a wirw whisk or wooden  spoon
until thickened and smooth. Place in a 350-degree oven for 20  minutes
to slowly cook. Strain the sauce and season to taste. Add a  grating of
nutmeg.  Nutritional info per tablespoon: 28 cal; 1g pro, 2g carb, 2g
