We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

When God created us human, He gave us the capacity to enjoy beauty. And the greatest experience of beauty is in relationships of love. We have the joy of knowing that Jesus is beautiful and that He expressed His beauty in the most vivid way possible: by dying for us. Now we can taste of that beauty by having a love-relationship with Him that is deeper and sweeter than all the ugliness of the world. This too is a result of the work of Christ. It restores the beauty of life that was lost as a result of the Fall.

Lord describes His sovereign deity; Jesus (the Greek equivalent of the Hebrew name Yeshua; “God Saves”) describes His saving death and resurrection; Christ (“anointed one”) describes Him as the King who will defeat God’s enemies and rule over the redeemed earth and the eternal state.

Whole-wheat Herbed Bread Twists

INGREDIENTS

4 oz Whole-wheat flour
4 oz White flour
2 oz Salt
2 oz Sugar
8 oz Shortening
4 oz Milk solids, powdered
2 1/2 oz Water, warm
4 oz Yeast

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix yeast and sugar with warm water; let sit for 3 to 5 minutes. Melt
shortening and add to yeast with milk and salt. Stir in flour. Mix
with hook for 10 minutes until dough forms ball. Cover with plastic
and proof until doubled in bulk. Punch dough down; roll into 1/2"
rope. Cut into 6 equal pieces. Prepare bread seasoning. Roll bread
twists in bread seasoning. Proof until double in size. Bake at 350oF
for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Bread seasoning: Mix 1 tbsp.
water and 1 tbsp. corn syrup together. Brush each piece of dough with
mixture. Combine 2 tbsps. herb mix with 1/2 tsp. garlic salt.  Recipe
