We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

How do you win a battle? You read the enemy’s book. Familiarity with his tactics, knowledge of his ways, is essential in waging a successful war. It’s true in military warfare. It’s true in spiritual warfare as well. Patton gained an immeasurable advantage by learning in advance of being attacked where, in all likelihood, Rommel would concentrate his strike. He studied Rommel’s personality, his strategy in previous battles, his philosophy of tank warfare, all with a view to anticipating and countering every conceivable move. Satan doesn’t have a book. But he’s in ours.

I love the Lord Jesus with everything I am

I love the Lord Jesus with everything I am

My name is Lorrie… and I love the Lord Jesus with everything I am.

I guess I should start at the beginning, if I can figure out where that is. I think the fact that I was raised by an LDS father and a Methodist mother was the beginning of the confusion about the truth for me. I accepted Christ as my Savior at the age of 16, confused still, then joined the mormon church the same year. I married a mormon man who did not share my beliefs, when I was just 19.  We struggled desperately to get along, but it never worked out for us. After four and a half years of marriage, three children and mental, physical and emotional abuse… I knew I had to get out of there.  There was one thing that I praised God for in all of it.. His promise that He would never leave us or forsake us.  He did not leave me. I turned to an Assembly of God Pastor and started to get my life right.  I renewed my confession that Jesus Christ is Lord and died on the cross for my sins.  I started reading my Bible and praying to Jehovah God!  I found strength like I had not ever felt before rise up inside me.  I was renewed.  But, the old ways were not through with me.  I struggled for years to find who I was in the Lord Jesus Christ.

My family and I moved back to Utah recently and I know the Lord has a work here for me.  I love the people here and will walk through whatever doors God opens for me.  I praise my Jesus, that He loved me enough to keep holding onto me, even when I was drowning myself.  He is a wonderful Lord and a great Friend. I also praise the Lord for my mother, who never gave up praying for me and my siblings to be saved. Hallalujah I hope that tells you a little about who I am and what I believe.  I am active in my church here in Utah and love to sing for the Lord. Nice to meet you all Lorrie
