We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Oh, you are not dealing with trifles when you are dealing with the love of God to you. It is not a spare corner of the heart of God that He gives to you, as you may give a little love to the criminals in the jails, but the great, inconceivably vast heart of God belongs as much to every Christian as if there were not another being in the world for God to love! Even as Jehovah loves His Only-begotten, so does He love each one of His children.
C.H. Spurgeon

God has established these guidelines for your good. No one loves you more than your parents do, and no one wants you to succeed more than they do. The teenage years are difficult, but instead of running from your parents, this is a season when you need to be running to them. Their wisdom coupled with their love makes them your greatest advocates. No, they won’t let you do whatever you want, but they will help you do what is best. Sometimes “no” is the most loving answer you can receive.

The Unknown Christian

This Christian’s name never made the headlines of this world as a great theologian or a silver-tongued orator. This portrait represents the faithful, consecrated, born-again layman, the foot soldier in the Gospel army. He–or she–is a Sunday School teacher, an usher, a singer, a bus worker, nursery helper, a parking lot attendant, or a prayer warrior. His–or her–service is unheralded but vital in the cause of Christ. His–or her–testimony adorns the Gospel, as he–or she–faithfully witnesses daily in the temple and in every house, by sacrificially giving time, talent, and tithe to the Lord’s work. Having faithfully served the Lord in the home, in the church, and in the world, this Christian will one day hear the Master say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Thou hast been faithful over a few things. I will make thee ruler over many.”
