Didache Didakay

DIDACHE (di-da-kay)

BASIC R.C. BELIEF An uninspired collection of Christian moral laws, directions for Baptism and the Eucharist and instructions for ministers. It is also called “The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles.” Although it may date from as early as the end of the first century, there is no reason to believe it to be Apostolic in origin.

CHRISTIAN COMMENT Roman Catholics will often point out that the word “sacrifice” is used 3 times in the Didache, but the context shows it means the sacrifices of thanksgiving (Hebrews 13:15).
