Why care about being holy? Why be willing to say no to your flesh and yes to God, day in and day out? Because the world desperately needs to see what God is like. Because it is your created purpose and your ultimate destiny to be holy. Because of the price Jesus paid to make you holy. Because you are a saint. Because holy people get to see and know God. Because you’re getting ready to move to a place where there is no sin. And because your example may inspire someone who is watching you to choose or reject the pathway of holiness.

    GRACE

    BASIC R.C. BELIEF Grace is the supernatural gift of God bestowed, mainly through the sacraments, on men and angels to make them capable of supernatural acts and everlasting life. The state of Grace is being free from mortal sin.

    POST VATICAN II “Saved by Grace” is used in Roman Catholic circles today. They believe Grace is the enablement by God for man to do things necessary for salvation. They are still doing the religious works, but as God gives them Grace to do them, they say they are saved by Grace.

    CHRISTIAN COMMENT Ephesians 2:8-9. Scripture teaches us that God poured out His Grace for us in the atoning work of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that He saves us without regard to any work, prayer or religious observance we may or may not do (Romans 11:6).
