MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER
A Roman Catholic movement whose primary official aim is to strengthen Roman Catholic marriages, but which is used as a vehicle to enhance Roman Catholic lay involvement and to foster ecumenical gestures to Protestants by using “evangelical” terminology and “Biblical” marriage counseling. It is akin to the Cursillo movement and its claims.
