So, why do we serve in the church? One, because we are a spiritual body and each “body” part needs to perform his or her function. Two, we are commanded to serve by the Lord. Three, there will be accountability. Consequences toward those who refuse to use their gifts and rewards toward those who faithful discharge them as a good steward. Four, it is an honor and joy to be used by the Lord to build His eternal kingdom. And five, we want to see our investment in a person or persons to witness their spiritual fruit (Rom 1:13).
God decrees one state of affairs while also willing and teaching that a different state of affairs should come to pass. This distinction in the way God wills has been expressed in various ways throughout the centuries... For example, theologians have spoken of sovereign will and moral will, efficient will and permissive will, secret will and revealed will, will of decree and will of command, decretive will and preceptive will, voluntas signi (will of sign) and voluntas beneplaciti (will of good pleasure), etc.
: Hand beat egg whites until somewhat frothy. Combine flour, sugar
and salt and add to egg whites; beat until smooth, losing grainy

A. K. (Binx) Gardner had the recipe from Mrs. Obadiah Gardner, his
mother, who had it from her mother and grandmother. The pie is
cooked in a very slow oven for 4 hours and allowed to set for at
least another day before it is served. This is a large pie. A small
"sliver" of the pie makes a good dessert.
