God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Do you struggle with the sin of bitterness? Why don’t you ask yourself these questions: Do you possess a critical or cynical attitude? Do you find pleasure speaking negatively of anybody in particular? Do you try to get others to dislike someone and take your side? Do you have any feelings of anger or malice toward another person in particular? Do you resent someone? Do you experience outbursts of anger? Have others said that you unpleasant to be around? Is there someone you simply refuse to forgive? Is there anyone you will not reconcile with? Is there a certain name that you just can’t stand hearing?
Randy Smith

It is important for us to see the close connection between repentance and forgiveness, because while no amount of repentance can ever merit forgiveness in the sight of God, without repentance no soul will ever be saved. Repentance is the telltale mark of the grace of God at work in our lives. Saving faith and true repentance are always found together. Saved souls are repentant souls.

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

NONE
To remove garlic odor from your hands, rinse your hands with fresh lemon
juice or scrub with a bit of salt, then rinse with cool water.
To freshen your breath after eating garlic, chew on a sprig of fresh
parsley.
The longer you cook garlic, the milder it becomes. When sauteing garlic, be
careful not to burn it. Burned garlic will have a bitter taste, so discard
it and start again.
To store garlic, keep bulbs in a cool, dry place. Do not refrigerate.
Garlic needs air circulation so don't store in a plastic bag. A small
wicker basket can keep garlic conveniently and attractively on a kitchen
countertop, ready to use.
How to buy garlic? Look for garlic bulbs that have plump, firm cloves with
the papery outer sheath intact. Avoid garlic that is soft, spongy or
shriveled.
