Many times great difficulties precede special works of God. You can even say that God wins His greatest victories in the midst of apparent defeat. This can be clearly demonstrated in the life of our Lord on earth. When Jesus was crucified and placed in the tomb, it looked like the forces of unrighteousness had triumphed. However, it was in this time of apparent defeat that our victory for our salvation was won. This time of apparent defeat was followed by the resurrection of Christ.
If there is no final place for civil disobedience, then the government has been made autonomous, and as such, it has been put in the place of the living God. ...And that point is exactly when the early Christians performed their acts of civil disobedience, even when it cost them their lives. ...Acts of State which contradict God’s Law are illegitimate and acts of tyranny. Tyranny is ruling without the sanction of God. To resist tyranny is to honor God. ...The bottom line is that at a certain point there is not only the right, but the duty to disobey the State.
In a medium bowl place the cookie crumbs, melted butter, and Amaretto. Mix
the ingredients toegher.
Press the mixture into a buttered pie pan to form a pie shell.
Preheat the oven to 350. Bake the pie crust for 6-8 minutes. Let it cool
and then freeze it for 15 minutes.
Spread the vanilla ice cream evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
Freeze the pie for 15 minutes or until the ice cream is firm.
Spread the coffee ice cream on top of the vanilla ice cream.
Sprinkle the chocolate shavings over the top and freeze.
