We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

When we preach about hell, then, to what are we referring? Well, if we are speaking about the place in which God has confined some of the fallen angels, then hell is Tartarus, a place to which human beings do not appear to be sent. But if we are speaking about the place to which souls of the unsaved are sent while their bodies await resurrection, then hell is Hades, and it is those passages which mention it that become our texts when warning unbelievers about the hell in which they will be confined immediately at death. However, there is, in addition, a dreadful day looming, following the judgment of the Great White Throne, when both the bodies and the souls of the unsaved shall be cast into a final destination called Gehenna, or the lake of fire.
Mark Minnick

Jesus indicates that the way to think about self-denial is to deny yourself only a lesser good for a greater good… In other words, Jesus wants us to think about sacrifice in a way that rules our all self-pity. This is, in fact, just what the texts on self-denial teach (Mk. 8:34-35)… Saint Augustine captured the paradox in these words, “If you love your soul, there is a danger of its being destroyed. Therefore you may not love it, since you do not want it to be destroyed. But in not wanting it to be destroyed you love it.”

175 Grams butter or margarine
4 Eggs
3/8 Liter milk
1 tb Beer
25 Grams sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

A couple of months back there was a discussion on how to make Aebleskiver.
As a lover of Aebleskiver it really hurt me to see how "distorted" some of
these reci pes were. So when I bought the book "Mad", by Ingeborg Suhr from
1942 I decided to enlighten you poor netters. The following three recipes
are from the country where Aebleskiver originated and are the "real thing".
Although Ingeborg Suhr does not say anything about it I would suggest
serving with either sifted confectioners sugar, blackberry jam or both. At
Christmas I would suggest serving with glogg.
Whisk flour with half the milk, add egg yolks, melted butter, beer, salt,
and the rest of the milk. Add egg whites that have been whipped stiff. Bake
as above. See Aebleskiver #1.
