We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

The Bible is our only rule for faith and practice. If it is not reliable, then on what do we base our beliefs? Jesus asks for our trust, and that includes trust in what He says in His Word (Jn. 6:67-69).

There is a vast difference between self-conviction and Holy Spirit-conviction. When God convicts, He gets specific with us about our sin… He uses specific Scriptures. And His kindness toward us leads to a hopeful conclusion of repentance and dependence. Self-conviction, and the conviction of the enemy, on the other hand, is wide-ranging, condemning, and defeatist. It leads back to self: “Try harder and do better”… [It will lead is] right back where [we] started - awash in guilt and condemnation.

INGREDIENTS

Lots of greens; chopped coarsely
Peanut butter; smooth or chunky (enough to make a nice sauce when melted)
Lots of garlic; minced
Your choice of heat (enough to make you call for your mama)

INSTRUCTIONS

Rinse greens. Simmer in pot. When there's enough liquid to melt the peanut
butter stir it in until it's all blended. Add garlic and your choice of
heat. Simmmer for an hour or two until the greens are cooked to rags,
stirring occasionally and adding a little water if needed to keep them from
drying out and/or sticking. Serve with boiled potatoes or some other
