We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

The work of the Holy Spirit in John 3 is applied to the wind (the same word as spirit). From a human perspective, the wind has a point of origin and a destination that is unknown, yet we know the wind is present based upon the effects it leaves behind. Likewise, we are totally at the mercy of the free and sovereign will of God. Just as the wind is invisible and unpredictable and uncontrollable, God’s Spirit is moving among human beings, regenerating their hearts, and enabling them to willingly trust Christ for salvation. And when people do trust Christ, there will be evidence of His presence.

Pursuing holiness in today’s cheap-date, hookup world requires tremendous courage and other-worldliness. Long make-out sessions (and more) is not the way for young men to treat “younger women as sisters, in all purity” (1 Tim. 5:2). If you might not marry the one you are dating, why do all sorts of stuff with someone else’s future spouse, stuff you will have a hard time forgetting once you are married yourself? And if you are on your way to marriage, instead of acting more married than single, consider getting married sooner so you don’t have to act single any longer.

3/4 c Water
2 ts Ginger root; chopped
2 c Guava juice
1 1/2 tb Lemon juice
1 1/2 c Pineapple; finely chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

Add 1/4 cup water to ginger root. Boil 3 minutes. Strain. Add the liquid to
the guava, lemon and pineapple juices. Make a syrup of sugar and remaining
water. Cool. Combine with juices and pineapple. Chill throroughly. [I just
noticed that the instructions call for pineapple juice, yet there's no
pineapple juice in the list of ingredients. If I had to wing it, I'd say
try 3 cups].
