INGREDIENTS

3/4 c Sugar
2 tb Flour
1/2 ts Cinnamon
1/4 ts Salt
5 c Sliced apples
1/4 c Water
1 tb Butter or margarine
1 c Flour
1 tb Sugar
1 1/2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
3 tb Shortening
1/2 c Milk

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon & salt. Mix with apples. Pour into baking
dish. Sprinkle with water & dot with butter or margarine. Cover with foil &
bake at 400 for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, sift flour, sugar, baking powder &
salt. Cut in shortening. Stir in milk. Drop by spoonfuls onto hot apples.
Bake uncovered for 25-35 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
