We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Some Christians misunderstand God's plan for His kingdom. They want to establish it their own way rather than waiting for God to do it His way. God's way of establishing the kingdom is primarily through the preaching of the cross. But that does not seem very effective to most people. They would prefer to use force, which is the kind of thinking that leads to bloody crusades. Or they would rather entertain people into the kingdom, which is the kind of thinking that leads to man-centered worship.
Philip Graham Ryken

If in fact life was not created by God, and if human beings in particular are not created by God or responsible to Him, but are simply the result of random occurrences in the universe, then of what significance is human life? We are merely the product of matter plus time plus chance, and so to think that we have any eternal importance, or really any importance at all in the face of an immense universe, is simply to delude ourselves. Honest reflection on this notion should lead people to a profound sense of despair (Wayne Grudem and Jeff Purswell).

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Meats French Poultry, Usenet 4 Servings

INGREDIENTS

2 lb Chicken pieces
1 pk French onion soup mix
2 c Apricot nectar
1 1/2 lb Apricot halves (canned)
Flour (plain)

INSTRUCTIONS

Dust chicken in flour. Fry chicken lightly until starting to brown. Place
chicken in a casserole dish or a very deep frying pan. Add soup powder,
nectar and apricots. Mix everything well. Simmer for 1 hour.
I normally use 2 pieces of chicken per person and about a 1 1/2 lb can of
apricot halves. This will suffice for 4 to 6 people. If you cannot get
nectar, then use the juice from the apricot halves. (Of course, if you can
buy apricots in nectar...)
The French onion soup quantity is not critical, but a soup packet that
makes up about 6 C is about right for 4 to 6 people. Serve with potato
(baked or boiled), buttered carrots and peas.
  NOTES:
* Chicken embalmed in apricot nectar -- Apricot Chicken is the ultimate
bachelors delight. It is very simple and tastes wonderful. The recipe was
given to me by a group of friends from back home who came to visit me.
Yield: Serves 4-6.
: Difficulty: easy.
: Time: 10 minutes preparation, 1 hour cooking.
: Precision: No need to measure.
