God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Somewhere between 400% and 800% of suicide rates increase in women who have had abortions. Hypochondria, depression, withdrawal, guilt, shame, drugs, alcohol dependency, serious emotional trauma – all of these come from abortions. Six to seven times more women die each year from legal than illegal abortions. The risk of pregnancy outside the womb which threatens the mother's life is doubled for women who have had one abortion, and quadrupled where there have been two or more. Miscarriages are almost twice as common for women who have aborted. A study of 26,000 births indicated a more than threefold increase in the number of stillborn babies and deaths of newborns among mothers who have had an abortion. Since about two or three women per hundred needs a blood transfusion, there is an increased risk of exposure to hepatitis and AIDS. Bleeding is more common in subsequent wanted pregnancies. Many researchers have observed subsequent premature births and low birth weights. Among women who have had abortions there is an increased risk of damage to the cervix. There is up to a 30% greater risk of pelvic infection.
John MacArthur

It may be, remember, that God has indeed answered but not in a way that is obvious to us. And it is possible that nothing is amiss in our praying, but that we haven’t yet seen the answer only because God intends for us to persevere in praying about the matter awhile longer. But we must also learn to examine our prayers. Are we asking for things that are outside the will of God or would not glorify Him? Are we praying with selfish motives? Are we failing to deal with the kind of blatant sin that causes God to put all our prayers on hold?

Posted by Ari Kornfeld <ari@perspective.com> to the Fatfree Digest [Volume
15 Issue 23] Feb. 23, 1995. Here are my favorite tips and basic bread
recipe:
1. Don't by those tiny packets of active-dry yeast. Get it in bulk in a
health-food store. They charge at least 10x more for those tiny packets --
you're paying almost entirely for the packaging. (Store yeast in the
fridge.) 1 packet=1 TB.
2. Wheat gluten is very useful in helping the dough rise. I add around 1 TB
per cup of non-bread flour ingredients.
3. Oil is NOT necessary and actually detracts from the taste. All you
really need for good bread is flour, salt, yeast, and water. Everything
else is optional.
4. The best breads are simply a mix of flours (whole wheat, rye, oats,
corn, buckwheat, rice, or whatever you like). Remember thought that wheat
flours are necessary for the gluten content, unless you add gluten
separately. Adding fruits and herbs and flavored liquids are interesting
but I prefer "pure" breads. I prefer graham flour over regular whole wheat.
5. Each machine is different and my recipes are usually not exact -- if the
dough looks sticky and isn't forming a ball then it's too wet: add more
flour; if it looks dry (ball doesn't have a relatively smooth surface, for
example) add more liquid a tablespoon or two at a time.
