We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Self-belittlement, self-exaltation, and self-pity all indicate a preoccupation with self.  Inordinate attention to self is the exact opposite of God’s commandments to love Him and others.  A self-focus also prohibits the development of a Christlike servant attitude in you.  If you try to save your life by focusing on self, you will reap certain consequence; instead of saving your life, you will lose it.
John Broger

God unleashed the full extent of His fury on Jesus Christ. As Isaiah put it in Isaiah 13:9, “Wrath with fierce anger.” Hell came there. What is hell? Hell is where God punishes people forever. Hell is where God pours out His fury on people forever. God is the power behind the punishment in hell. When you say that hell is being separated from God, only in the sense of His comforting presence, not in the sense of His punishing presence. He is the one who destroys both soul and body in hell. He is the King of hell, Satan is not. And God, who is the punisher of all the souls in eternal hell, shows up in the darkness of Calvary to punish His Son, and He gives His Son eternal hell on behalf of all who would ever believe.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Seafood, Grains Fish 4 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1 Onion peeled and thinly sliced
4 tb Olive oil
1 Steak dried salt cod
1 Ripe tomato (or dbl. amt.) peeled, cored and very coarsely chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1 2/3 c Short-grain rice

INSTRUCTIONS

Short-grain rice adds the perfect texture to this traditional dish from
northern Portugal. The salt cod may eliminate the need for additional salt.
BROWN THE ONION in the olive oil in a large heavy saucepan over moderate
heat. Meanwhile, shred the cod, remove the skin and bones and wash but do
not soak. Add the cod to the onion, cover and simmer for about 10 minutes.
Add the tomatoes and leave to cook 20-to-30 minutes, covered, over low
heat. Meanwhile, wash and drain the rice. Add 3 1/3 cups water to the pan
(add twice as much water as there is rice), season to taste with salt and
pepper. When the water boils, add the rice and continue to cook on low heat
until the rice is done--probably 25-to-30 minutes. Cover the kettle for the
last half of cooking.
