We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

God's complete joy in Himself as a Trinity led Him to want to double that joy by extending it beyond Himself to the human beings He created. Likewise, we will want to double our joy by seeing how adequate God is to meet our need-love as we use our resources to perform the greatest service to others-helping them to experience the joy in believing in God's wonderful promises, guaranteed by the finished work of Christ.
Daniel Fuller

God has hidden every precious thing in such a way that it is a reward to the diligent, a prize to the earnest, but a disappointment to the slothful soul. All nature is arrayed against the lounger and the idler. The nut is hidden in its thorny case; the pearl is buried beneath the ocean waves; the gold is imprisoned in the rocky bosom of the mountains; the gem is found only after you crush the rock which encloses it; the very soil gives its harvest as a reward to the laboring farmer. So truth and God must be earnestly sought.

FROSTING

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13- by 9-inch baking pan. Sift
together the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
2. Beat butter and granulated sugar in large bowl of electric mixer on high
speed until light, 2 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after
each addition. Stop the mixer and add bananas, sour cream and vanilla. Mix
in on low speed. Fold in the dry ingredients and nuts with a rubber
spatula.
3. Transfer batter to prepared pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the
center comes out clean, about 35 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack.
4. For caramel glaze, combine brown sugar and condensed milk in a small
saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until mixture begins to
bubble. Reduce heat to low and add butter; cook and stir until melted.
Remove from the heat and stir in confectioners' sugar and vanilla. Spread
over cooled cake.
5. For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Stir in sour
cream, maple and vanilla. Add enough confectioners' sugar to make a smooth,
thick frosting. Carefully spread over caramel glaze.

A Message from our Provider:

“We can do nothing, we say sometimes, we can only pray. That, we feel, is a terribly precarious second-best. So long as we can fuss and work and rush about, so long as we can lend a hand, we have some hope; but if we have to fall back upon God — ah, then things must be critical indeed! #A.J. Gossip”
