The way I see it, there are two primary errors for the professing Christian called to be a minister for Christ. One is we do absolutely nothing. We’re lazy. We feel inadequate. We’re too busy with other things. The other error is we start serving and then quit. We’re discouraged. We’re unappreciated. We’re persecuted. We’re unsatisfied with the results. Either way we are not ministering and either way, regardless of the means, Satan has proved successful to decommission us from our Lord’s service. The first error is having no heart. The second error is losing heart.

INGREDIENTS

1/2	c	Onion; finely chopped
1/2	c	Butter
1/2	c	Barley
3	c	Chicken broth
1/2	lb	Fresh mushrooms; * see note
1/2	c	Slivered almonds

INSTRUCTIONS

* or use 4 ounces of canned mushrooms
Saute onion in 6 tablespoons butter. Add barley and brown lightly. Pour in
casserole with 1 1/2 cups chicken broth. Bake 350 deg. F. for 30 minutes.
Add the mushrooms which have been sauted in the remaining butter and the
rest of the chicken broth. Top with almonds and continue baking until the
liquid is absorbed, approximately 45 to 60 minutes. Cook uncovered all the

Infirmities like this were welcomed, together with the other hardships…if they were the condition on which the power of the risen Christ operated through him. They constantly reminded him not so much of his own inadequacy as of the total adequacy of Christ, in whom, when he was personally most weak, he knew himself to be most strong.
