Again and again, God’s Word reveals that He is not as concerned about the depth or extent of the sin we commit as He is about our attitude and response when we are confronted with our sin.
If you are ever going to be an ambassador in the hands of a God of glorious and powerful grace, you must die. You must die to your plans for your own life. You must die to your self-focused dreams of success. You must die to your demands for comfort and ease. You must die to your individual definition of the good life. You must die to your demands for pleasure, acclaim, prominence, and respect. You must die to your desire to be in control. You must die to your hope for independent righteousness. You must die to your plans for others. You must die to your cravings for a certain lifestyle or that particular location. You must die to your own kingship. You must die to the pursuit of your own glory in order to take up the cause of the glory of Another. You must die to your control over your own time. You must die to your maintenance of your own reputation. You must die to having the final answer and getting your own way. You must die to your unfaltering confidence in you. You must die.
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Stir with a wire whisk until
blended. Divide mixture evenly into six 2 1/2 cup containers with tight
fitting lids, about 2 1/4 cups each. Seal containers. Label with date and
contents. Store in a cool dry place. Use within 10 to 12 weeks. Makes 6
packages or about 13 1/2 cups SNACK CAKE MIX.

I'll type up the applesauce one for you to give you an idea of what's
involved; the items with the asterisk are in all the recipes -- just the ty
of nuts, fruits and flavorings change.
3/4 c applesauce
1 1/2 t cinnamon 1/2 t. ground allspice 1/8 t. ground cloves
1/2 c chopped nuts
1 c (golden) raisins
Preheat oven to 325F. Pour snack cake mix into an ungreases 8- or 9-inch
square baking pan; set aside. In a small bowl, combine egg, oil,
applesauce, cinnamon, allspice a cloves, beating with a fork to combine.
Stir in snack cake mix until smoot and blended. Stir in nuts and raisins.
Bake 35 - 45 minutes until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out
clean.
Cool on a rack Serves 6
