We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Whether we think of, or speak to, God, whether we act or suffer for Him, all is prayer, when we have no other object than His love, and the desire of pleasing Him.
John Wesley

This [boredom] is why people are so prone to an addictive lifestyle. Many people who fall into sinful addictions are people who were once terminally bored. The reason why addictions are so powerful is that they tap into that place in our hearts that was made for transcendent communion and spiritual romance. These addictive habits either dull and deaden our yearnings for a satisfaction we fear we’ll never find or they provide an alternative counterfeit fulfillment that we think will bring long-term happiness, counterfeits like cocaine, overeating, illicit affairs, busyness, efficiency, image, or obsession with physical beauty. They all find their power in the inescapable yearning of the human heart to be fascinated and pleased and enthralled. Our hearts will invariably lead us either to the fleeting pleasures of addiction or to God.

Dairy Too, Hot, Tamales 1 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1 cn Sweetened condensed milk; (8 ounce)
1 tb Unsalted butter
1/2 c Shredded unsweetened coconut; firmly packed
1/2 c Confectioners sugar
Whole cloves; for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

Thoroughly butter a plastic tray or cutting board and set aside. In a small
heavy saucepan, combine the condensed milk and butter and cook over very
low heat on a heatproof pad, stirring frequently, for about 15 minutes,
until the mixture thickens. Use a rubber spatula to reach all the way into
the corners of the pan so that none of the mixture scorches, as it is very
delicate and easy to burn. If it seems to be getting too hot, remove it
from the heat for 30 seconds to cool slightly. When the mixture is quite
thick, remove from the heat and cool for about 25 minutes, then stir in the
coconut. Using a tiny icecream scoop (about 1 1/2 tablespoons capacity) or
2 teaspoons, scoop out little balls one by one and immediately drop them
into a bowl of confectioners sugar. Roll around gently to coat them evenly
and transfer to the buttered tray. Continue until you have used all the
mixture and then stud each kiss with 2 or 3 cloves. Store in a tightly
covered container. Yield: about 18 kisses Copyright, 1996, TV FOOD NETWORK,
