We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Repentance and faith infallibly and inseparably flow from regeneration. True repentance takes place when God enables a heart to turn away from sin. This does not mean believers will not still struggle with sin, but rather they are aware of their sin and they feel sorrow and conviction before God. Faith is more than intellectual assent. It is a God-given, unmistakable holding on to Christ and a total surrender to God’s authority (Rom. 3:21-31). This change from rebellion to submission, from unbelief to intelligent trust, is the unambiguous fruit of regeneration.
Ben Peays

Never did I pass a more truly solemn or interesting moment than that in which my firstborn child was put into my arms and when I felt that I was a father. A new comfort was then produced in my heart which every succeeding day has tended to confirm and strengthen. I looked up to heaven and breathed over my baby the petition of Abraham for his son. “O that Ishmael might live before You.” Recognizing in the little helpless being which had been so lately introduced into our world, there was a creature born for eternity and who when the sun shall be extinguished would be still soaring in heaven or sinking in hell. I returned to my closet for private devotion and solemnly dedicated the child to the God who had given me the precious life. And I earnestly prayed that whatever might be his lot in this world, he might be a partaker of true holiness and numbered with the saints in everlasting glory.

INSTRUCTIONS

Here you go Linda. I got a new cookbook yesterday, Better Homes and Gardens
75 Years of All-Time Favorites and here's a recipe from that book.......
In a medium mixing bowl combine flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, and
cloves. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl beat butter, margarine, or shortening with an
electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Gradually add the 1 cup of
sugar; beat until fluffy. Add the egg and molasses; beat well. Stir dry
mixture into egg mixture.
Shape dough into 1 1/2-inch balls (1 heaping tablespoons dough each). Roll
balls in the 2 tablespoons sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheets about
2 1/2    inches apart.
Bake in a 350 degree oven about 10 minutes or until light brown but still
puffed. (Do not overbake.) Let stand on cookie sheets for 2 minutes;
transfer to a wire rack and let cool. Makes 24 cookies.
