We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Worship empowers serving; serving expresses worship. Godliness requires a disciplined balance between the two. Those who can maintain service without regular personal and corporate worship are serving in the flesh. It doesn’t matter how long they’ve been serving that way or how well others think they serve, they are not striving according to God’s power, as Paul did, but their own… At the same time, one measure of the authenticity of worship (again, both personal and corporate) is whether it results in a desire to serve… Therefore, we must maintain that to be Godly, we should discipline ourselves for both worship and service. To engage in one without the other is, in reality, to experience neither.
Donald S. Whitney

It has pleased God lately to teach me more than ever that Himself is the fountain of happiness; that likeness to Him, friendship for Him, and communion with Him, form the basis of all true enjoyment. The very disposition which, blessed be my dear Redeemer! He has given me, to be anything, do anything, or endure anything, so that His name might be glorified – I say, the disposition itself is heaven begun below.

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Add extracts. Sift together flour, baking
powder, and salt. Add to mixture. Batter will be very stiff. Use cookie
press and bake at 350 degrees F for 8 minutes or until golden brown.
Personal note: I refrigerate the dough to make it less sticky and sometimes
even refrigerate the cookie sheets between batches to help make the cookies
stick to the sheet instead of melting because the sheet is hot. Since my
press is so old, I have to fuss with it alot more than with a new one.
These things seem to help. I also cut the baking powder in half because I
am at about 6000'. Probably will not be an issue for you.
