We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

All of our warfare and all of our activity must take place in the context of constant, unceasing prayer. Just as a soldier on the battle line has to keep in constant communication with his general headquarters and his commanding officer, so the Christian who is on the battle line must be in constant communication with his Lord. He might be fully equipped with all the armor, but if he is cut off from personal communication with his own commander, then he will be isolated and vulnerable.
R.C. Sproul

No one, not even the unredeemed, are ultimately outside the will of God (Pr. 16:4; Rom. 9:14-18; 1 Pet. 2:7-8). They are not forced to be lost, but choosing to reject God’s offer of mercy does not somehow free them from the control of God. Even their rejection has been included in the eternal plan of God. This is perhaps the worst part of it for them. In their attempt to be free from God by rejecting Him, even if at the cost of their own souls, they find that there is no such thing. The net of God’s providence includes even the vain attempt to be outside the net.

14 oz Can Sweetened Condensed Milk

1 ts Instant coffee granules

INSTRUCTIONS

Source: Southwest Cooks! The Tradition of Native American Cuisines
Place sugar in a small heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring
constantly with a wooden spoon, until sugar crystallizes into lumps (about
15 minutes). Continue cooking, stirring constantly, until sugar melts and
turns a light golden brown (about 15 minutes). Quickly pour hot caramel
mixture into an ungreased 8-inch round cakepan, tilting to coat bottom
evenly. Set aside (mixture will harden).
Combine eggs and remaining ingredients in a large bowl; beat with a wire
whisk until coffee granules dissolve. Pour egg mixture over caramelized
sugar in cakepan.
Place cakepan in a large shallow baking dish. Pour hot water into outer
baking dish to a depth of 1-inch. Cover with aluminum foil, and bake at 350
degrees F. for 55 minutes or until a knife inserted near center of flan
comes out clean. Remove pan from water, and let cool. Cover and chill at
least 8 hours.
To serve, loosen edge of custard with a spatula, and invert onto a serving
plate.
