INGREDIENTS
| 1 | c | White flour |
| 1 1/4 | c | Whole wheat flour |
| 1 | ts | Baking soda |
| 1/4 | ts | Salt |
| 1/2 | c | Carob powder (or cocoa) |
| 1/2 | c | Sugar |
| 1/2 | c | Corn oil |
| 3/4 | c | Water |
| 1 1/4 | c | Honey or maple syrup |
| 1 | tb | Cider vinegar |
| 2 | ts | Vanilla extract |
INSTRUCTIONS
Sift the flours together with baking soda, salt & carob. Stir in the sugar. In a large mixing bowl, stir together oil, water, honey, vinegar & vanilla until well blended. Add dry ingredients, mixing till well blended. Lightly oil & flour 2 8-inch cake pans. Divide batter equally between the two pans & bake at 350F for 20 minutes, or until the cakes test done.
