'Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad because great is your reward in heaven.' Jesus acknowledges the hardships that come with following Him and encourages His disciples to find joy in the reward that awaits them in eternity.
Biblically speaking, the overwhelming percent of humanity is in Satan’s kingdom. We all know most people are deceived. After all, how many would willingly say they love Satan and want to be associated with his lies now and eternal future then? Of course Satan knows this too. So in his craftiness “the angel of light” deceives people to pursue morality and goodness and religion. According to him, they can have all of these so long as they don’t have Jesus. Make them all Pharisees!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a large loaf pan. Cream butter with
sugars and beat until fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Sift together dry
ingredients. Beat into egg mixture. Fold in carrots and walnuts. Mix
thoroughly. Pour into prepared 9x5x3-inch pan. Bake approximately 1 hour.
Cool on rack. Recipe can be doubled successfully. Makes a dense loaf that
doesn't crumble, making it great for spreads or mini-sandwiches. Recipe
