No Christian husband should presume to think that any spiritual good will be accomplished by his life without an effective ministry of prayer. And no husband may expect an effective prayer life unless he lives with his wife ‘in an understanding way, bestowing honor’ on her. To take the time to develop and maintain a good marriage is God’s will; it is serving God; it is a spiritual activity pleasing in his sight.
It is not necessary for a preacher to express all his thoughts in one sermon. A preacher should have three principles: first, to make a good beginning, and not spend time with many words before coming to the point; secondly, to say that which belongs to the subject in chief, and avoid strange and foreign thoughts; thirdly, to stop at the proper time.
Preheat oven to 350. Trim crusts from bread. Cut each slice into four
triangles. Brush one side of each slice with melted butter. Press each
slice, butter slice up, into muffin tins. Bake four to five minutes or
until toasted. Combine cheese, bacon, egg yolks, mustard, mayonnaise, salt,
and pepper. Mix well and spoon into toasted bread cases. Return to oven
three to five minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
