Faith makes all evil good to us, and all good better; unbelief makes all good evil, and all evil worse. Faith laughs at the shaking of the spear; unbelief trembles at the shaking of a leaf, unbelief starves the soul; faith finds food in famine, and a table in the wilderness. In the greatest danger, faith says, "I have a great God." When outward strength is broken, faith rests on the promises. In the midst of sorrow, faith draws the sting out of every trouble, and takes out the bitterness from every affliction.
Today’s parents tend to be more passive and less involved in their children’s lives than any generation in our nation’s history. They have turned their children over to artificial, surrogate parents. Day-care centers, relatives, the television set, and the child’s own peers often have far more influence on the moral and social development of today’s children than parents do. That is an abdication of the parent’s duty before God. The Lord Himself gave parents – not schools, youth leaders, Sunday school teachers, or anybody else – the primary responsibility for the nurture and admonition of (their) children.
Mix all ingredients except nuts and paprika until smooth. Add nuts. Shape
into roll and roll on waxed paper liberally sprinkled with paprika. Store
in refrigerator until ready to serve. Slice in thin slices.
