Even if Caesar is evil and tyrannical, regularly imposing rules that he has no authority to make and constantly going beyond his God-delegated limitations, he must still be recognized as God's servant (no matter how badly he is serving), honored as such, and submitted to within the limitations that God gave him (Anthony Forsyth).
Through prayer, are you asking the Lord to reveal sin in your heart? Is God showing you sin as you study the Bible? Are you grieved over your sin? Are you more grieved over your sin than angered over the sins of others around you? Do you hate your sin? Do you hate your sin not primarily because of the consequences, but because you love God? Are you confessing your sin? Are you turning from your sin with the sufficient grace God provides?
Line a 9-inch pie pan with pastry. Trim excess pastry around edges. Prick
bottom and sides of pastry with a fork. Bake at 400 degrees for 3 minutes;
remove from oven, and gently prick with a fork. Bake an additional 5
minutes.
Cook ground beef, green pepper and onion in a large skillet until meat is
browned, stirring to crumble meat; drain. Add 1/2 cup tomato sauce and next
4 ingredients; stirring well. Spoon mixture into prepared crust.
Combine egg and next 4 ingredients, stirring well; spoon evenly over meat
mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
Combine remaining tomato sauce and chili sauce; serve with pie. Yields 6
servings.
