We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

We protest that Rome is not catholic, that she in fact shuts out the saints. We, however, are catholic, embracing all those who turn to the living Christ alone. We protest that guarding, defending, proclaiming justification by faith alone is not sectarian, narrow, nor divisive. It is instead a fulfillment of the command that we contend for the faith (Jude 3). We protest against squishy, feel-good ecumenism that imperils souls, that buys the love and respect of men and sells the wrath of God. We protest the beard-stroking, nuance exploring, subtlety affirming of those who refuse to remember that Rome damned and damns justification by faith alone with clarity, forthrightness and immutability.

Some of us, over the duration of our lives, have been shaken to the foundations by this truth of God’s sovereignty over man’s belief and unbelief. We have run from it, pretended it wasn’t there, argued against it, wept over it, and finally bowed our heads and hearts before it, and then discovered it to be one of the most deep and firm and precious foundation stones in the house of our fragile faith. Cheesecake Top Hat

INGREDIENTS

2	c	Sour cream
2	tb	Granulated sugar
1	tb	Grand Marnier
		Macadamia nuts; for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

Whisk the sour cream, sugar, and Grand Marnier in a medium sized bowl.
Spread the mixture over the top of the cheesecake and bake the cheesecake
for 5 additional minutes. Cool and chill overnight. Garnish with coarsely
chopped macadamia nuts. Me ke aloha, Mary
