God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
The world can pull us into its grip. If we are not careful, Christians can allow the world to dictate our causes and our beliefs and our attitudes. We can easily get squeezed into its mold and while we intend well, the powerhouse of our actions becomes feelings, experiences or whatever is currently trending.
If one sees oneself as being saved without the obligation to be saving, then clearly one needs to grow in salvation. The evidence of salvation – that God’s grace has taken effect in one’s life – is to be found in one’s participation in bringing salvation to others.
Heat oven to 400F degrees. Grease cookie sheet generously. Mix baking mix
and water until dough forms; beat 20 strokes. Gently smooth dough into ball
on surface dusted with baking mix. Knead 10 times.
Roll dough into 12" square. Spread cream cheese over square to within 1/4"
of edges; sprinkle with cheddar cheese and bacon. Roll up tightly; pinch
edge of dough into roll to seal well.
Place roll, seam side down, on cookie sheet. Brush with egg; sprinkle with
poppy seeds. Cut roll into 1" slices almost through to bottom, keeping roll
intact. Bake until golden brown, 15-20 minutes. Immediately cut into
slices.
