God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
Anything that springs from self, however small it may be, is sin. Self-energy or self-complacency in service is sin. Self-pity in trials or difficulties, self-seeking in business or Christian work, self-indulgence in one's spare time, sensitiveness, touchiness, resentment and self-defense when we are hurt or injured by others, self-consciousness, reserve, worry, fear, all spring from self and all are sin.
We secretly wish we could have a “vicarious” Christianity, and could be good by proxy, and have everything done for us. Anything that requires exertion and labor is entirely against the grain of our hearts. But the soul can have “no gains without pains”… To be a Christian it will cost a man his love of ease.
Combine garlic, ginger, green onions and zest in food processor and puree.
Add soy sauce, sherry, sesame oil and pepper. Process until blended. Cut
chicken into 1" cubes. Place in bowl, add marinade and toss to coat evenly.
Cover and marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes. Soak six bamboo
skewers in water for 30 minutes.
Preheat grill or broiler.
Thread chicken cubes onto soaked skewers. Brush with peanut oil and
sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place skewers on an oiled grill and cook 2-3
minutes on each side. Serve with warm peanut sauce.
Serves 2.

A Message from our Provider:
“A thankful heart is one of the primary identifying characteristics of a believer. It stands in stark contrast to pride, selfishness, and worry. And it helps fortify the believer’s trust in the Lord and reliance of His provision, even in the toughest times. No matter how choppy the seas become, a believer’s heart is buoyed by constant praise and gratefulness to the Lord. #John MacArthur”
