Do not stop to ask the writer if God has granted all his prayers. He has not. To have said “Yes” to some of them would have spelt curse instead of blessing. To have answered others was, alas! a spiritual impossibility – he was not worthy of the gifts he sought. The granting of some of them would but have fostered spiritual pride and self-satisfaction. How plain all these things seem now, in the fuller light of God's Holy Spirit!

1 1/2 c Ground beef, extra lean —
Cooked
1 c Bulgur
1 c Onion
1 qt Stewed tomatoes
8 oz Tomato sauce
1 c Salsa
1 cn Kidney beans — with juice
1 cn Pinto beans — with juice
1 cn Red beans — with juice
1 cn Great northern beans — with
Juice
1 cn Garbanzo beans — with
Juice
1 cn Blackeyed peas — with
Juice
1 tb Chili powder — or more
1/4 c Cornstarch — optional

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine all ingredients and freeze. When thawed, simmer over low heat for
35-40 minutes. Per 1/10 portion:  (1 1/2 cups) 427 calories, 7 fat grams.
