Chinese Almond Cookies

Eggs Chinese Formed, Christmas 60 Servings

INGREDIENTS

3/4 c Sugar
3/4 c Butter
2 tb Water
1 ts Almond extract
1 Egg
2 1/2 c Flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
1/2 c Almonds; whole

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350° Cream butter and sugar, add egg, water and extract.
Mix in dry ingredients except almonds. Roll cookies in 1 inch balls and
flatten with glass dipped in sugar. Top each cookie with almond. Bake for
8-10 minutes do not over brown, cool completely.
