The family is wonderful, but unless we understand the family in the context of the triune God who is magnifying and manifesting His glory in the world and painting the picture of it through this union that we call the family, then we are selling it short and we are not seeing it for what it really is and we are limiting our capacity to enjoy it and our capacity to glorify God through it as well.
I once read the following definition of a fanatic: 'A fanatic is a person who, having lost sight of his goal, redoubles his effort to get there.' The fanatic runs around frantically getting nowhere. He is a basketball player without a basket, a tennis player without a net, a golfer without a green. For a Christian to make progress in…learning to please God, he must have a clear idea of what his goal is… Jesus stated it this way: 'Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.'
Melt 1 cup chocolate chips in microwave using 100 percent power for 1
minute. If needed, use additional time in 10 second intervals until
chocolate can be stirred smooth. Cool to room temperature. In small bowl,
combine flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Using mixer, beat
granulated sugar, butter and vanilla until crumbly. Beat in mixed
chocolate. Add eggs and beat well. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in
remaining chocolate chips. Cover, chill until firm. Shape into 1 1/2-inch
balls. Roll in powdered sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350
F. for 10-14 minutes or until sides are set, but centers are still
slilghtly soft. Cool for 2 to 3 minutes. Then remove to wire racks to cool
completely. Makes about 3 dozen.
