The ways, and fashions, and amusements, and recreations of the world have a continually decreasing place in the heart of a growing Christian. He does not condemn them as downright sinful, nor say that those who have anything to do with them are going to hell. He only feels they have a constantly diminishing hold on his own affections and gradually seem smaller and more trifling in his eyes.
Not self-willed; not doing things in the worship and house of God, in the ministry of the word, and administration of ordinances, according to his own will, but according to the will of God, revealed in his word; otherwise what he does will come under the name of will worship: or obstinate, stubborn, and inflexible, conceited of his own sense and judgment, and resolute to have his own will and way in all things relating to the affairs of God's house. The word signifies one that is pleased with himself, has an over weening opinion of himself, is proud and haughty, and despises others.
Melt semisweet chocolate in a bowl or top of a double boiler set over
a pan of shimmering water. Gradually add chocolate to marzipan and
knead well. If marzipan becomes dry, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of egg
white. Flavor with a few drops of peppermint extract. (Note: I use
Creme de Cocoa instead)
