We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

What are the changes from “bad tree” to “good tree,” “put off” to “put on” regarding our speech? Foul language to wholesome speech. Complaining to trusting the Lord. Criticism to edifying remarks. Gossip to prayer. Deception to speaking truth. Angry words to kind words. Trivial blabbering to meaningful speech. Worldly philosophy to biblical truth. Praising self to praising God. It is words that resemble the heart changed by the Holy Spirit. Words that are thus loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and self-controlled.
Randy Smith

Convictions are the product of both head and heart. There is an emotional component to belief, as well as an intellectual component. The Christian tradition speaks powerfully of the commitment of belief as a matter of the heart. Christian convictions take possession of our heads and hearts through Christian teaching and the preaching of God’s Word. As a matter of fact, most of us gain our most fundamental convictions in just this way -  we hear them, see them to be truly revealed in the Bible, and then believe them.

2 ts Granulated sugar
1 oz Bittersweet chocolate, melted

INSTRUCTIONS

TOPPING
Line baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Trace 8 inch circle on
paper; turn paper over. In a bowl and using electric beaters, beat egg
whites with salt and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually beat
in sugar until stiff glossy peaks form. Sift cocoa and cornstarch over top;
gently fold in. Gently fold in vinegar, vanilla and chocolate. Mound onto
circle on prepared baking sheet. Bake in 275* oven for 1-1/2 hous or until
crispy outside but still soft in the centre. Transfer to rack; let cool
completely. Place on serving plate.
Topping: Slice or halve stawberries. Set aside. In a bowl whip cream with
sugar and pour onto meringue. Arrange strawberries decoratively over top.
Drizzle melted chocolate over berries.
Tips: 1. Egg seperate better cold but whip up better at room temperature.
2. If you have no bittersweet chocolate on hand to drizzle over berries,
just sieve some unsweetened cocoa powder over top for a dazzling effect.

A Message from our Provider:

“We ought to give thanks for all fortune: if it is good, because it is good, if bad, because it works in us patience, humility and the contempt of this world and the hope of our eternal country. #C.S. Lewis”
