God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
The sure test of the quality of any supposed change of heart will be found in its permanent effects. Whatever, therefore, may have been our inward experience, whatever joy or sorrow we may have felt, unless we bring forth fruits meet for repentance, our experience will profit us nothing. Repentance is incomplete unless it leads to confession and restitution in cases of injury; unless it causes us to forsake not merely outward sins, which others notice, but those which lie concealed in the heart; unless it makes us choose the service of God and live not for ourselves but for Him. There is no duty, which is either more obvious in itself, or more frequently asserted in the Word of God, than that of repentance.
When God shows up, our first impulse is often to build a booth or a box to put Him in. The problem is when we stop to take a look, He’s usually not there anymore. Yet, throughout church history, people have tightly clutched their boxes long after the Lord of glory had departed.

Type of Recipe: Soup- Kosher Dairy
Method: Mix soup and milk in a saucepan and bring almost to a boil. Puor
into bowls and add Pepper to taste. (without the pepper it is incredible
flat, but might be enjoyed by kids.) There are all kinds of variations,
like adding sauteed onions etc., but they all destroy the utter simplicity
of the very good soup that beats many canned soups for flavor and salt
content. It necessary, use no-salt-added corn and perhaps here a little
onion powder to pick it up a bit.
