INSTRUCTIONS
GOLDEN SAUCE
Betty Crocker, 1980
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix flour, sugar, milk, shortening, baking
powder, vanila, salt and egg; beat 30 seconds. Stir in cranberries. Pour
into greased and floured square pan, 9x9x2 inches.
Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 40 to 45
minutes. Serve warm with Golden Sauce. 9 servings.
GOLDEN SAUCE: Heat 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup half-and-half, 1/2 cup margarine
or butter and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla in 1-quart saucepan, stirring
