God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Jesus underscores the fact that death seals one’s fate, when He says to the Pharisees, “If you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins” (John 8:24). Hebrews 9:27 agrees: “Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.”
Robert Peterson

We begin to believe our lies. What started as lying to others has turned against us. We tried to keep other people from seeing our private addictions; now we can barely see them ourselves. We once tried to persuade others that we didn’t have a problem; how we have persuaded ourselves that we don’t have a problem. When we are blind to our own problem, there is no reason to change.

Cranberry Orange Relish

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
American Sauce 12 Servings

INGREDIENTS

4 c Fresh cranberried (about 1 lb)
2 Oranges
2 c Sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

Some years ago my mother stopped serving normal cranberry relish at
holiday meals. By "normal" I mean that jellied stuff you buy in a can.
Instead, she began serving this relish. It is terribly simple to make, and
now I much prefer it to the sweeter jellied type.
Wash the cranberries and chop them up in your food processor or hand
grinder. Peel the oranges, remove the seeds, and put the rind and the
orange pulp through the chopper or food processor, too. Mix together with
sugar and let stand a few hours before serving.
