We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

For the Holy Spirit is prayer's great Helper. We are incapable of ourselves to translate our real needs into prayer. The Holy Spirit does this for us. We cannot ask as we ought. The Holy Spirit does this for us. It is possible for unaided man to ask what is for our ill. The Holy Spirit can check this. No weak or trembling hand dare put in motion any mighty force. Can I – dare I – move the Hand that moves the universe? No! Unless the Holy Spirit has control of me.

When all were in their places Father said grace and, excusing himself, left the family to retire to his study. He frequently spent thirteen hours a day studying. He managed this amazing amount of time by husbanding every hour of the day. He usually arose at four in the morning, indulging himself in the later rising time of five in the winter. In this way he was far along in his studies while the household slept. He preferred to eat alone, usually certain foods which he had by experimentation discovered kept his mind and body most sprightly. This morning he did not eat the rich menu which Venus set before the rest of the household, the home-cured bacon and the delicious hot breads. But at the end of the meal, he rejoined his family for morning devotions.

INGREDIENTS

1 cn Jellied Cranberry Sauce
1 c Sour Cream
2 Package Raspberry Jello (3 oz size)
2 3/4 c Water (1 1/2 cup boiling)

INSTRUCTIONS

Use the boiling water to disolve the packages of raspberry jello. Add cold
water ( 1 1/4 cups) to help it set up. Let it set (in fridge is okay) until
it's good and syrupy. Meanwhile, use blender to blend cranberry sauce and
sour cream thoroughly. Blend jello in carefully (it makes for a FULL
blender!). Pour into dishes, mold, whatever! Sets in about 7 hours or so,
but is best made a day ahead.
I also served this at a Christmas get-together in Dayton, and they asked

A Message from our Provider:

“A man who is eating or lying with his wife or preparing to go to sleep in humility, thankfulness and temperance, is, by Christian standards, in an infinitely higher state than one who is listening to Bach or reading Plato in a state of pride. #C.S. Lewis”
