We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

As God then sees all hearts, and knows every movement of pride, whether we see it or not, His purpose is to humble us! When I look back upon my life, and see all my sins, all my follies, all my slips, all my falls, my conscience testifies of the many things I have thought, said, and done, which grieve my soul, make me hang my head before God, put my mouth in the dust, and confess my sins unto Him. When I contrast my own exceeding sinfulness with God's greatness, God's majesty, God's holiness, and God's purity... I fall down, humbly and meekly before Him, I put my mouth in the dust, I acknowledge I am vile. “I am nothing but dust and ashes.” (Abraham) “Behold, I am vile!” (Job) “Woe to me! I am ruined!” (Isaiah) “I am a sinful man!” (Peter)

INGREDIENTS

1 Box devil's food cake mix; (without pudding)
1 pk (small) instant chocolate pudding
1 Tub (16 oz) Cool Whip Lite®; thawed
1/2 c Kahlua; (or strong coffee)
1 1/2 c Milk
6 Heath or Skor candy bars

INSTRUCTIONS

Bake cake in a 9x13 inch baking pan according to package directions. Cut
into 1 inch squares while still slightly warm. Chill candy bars, then crack
into pea-size chunks with a mallet or whatever is handy. (Hint: don't
unwrap the candy first).
When you are ready to assemble the trifle, prepare the chocolate pudding
according to package directions, but use Kahlua and milk for the liquid.
The mixture will seem thin but will thicken later.
In a trifle bowl or other steep-sided bowl, layer about 1/3 of the cake
squares, spread 1/3 of the pudding over it, then 1/3 of the Cool Whip.
Sprinkle 2 of the crushed candy bars evenly over the top. Repeat until you
have 3 layers.
Refrigerate 24 to 48 hours before serving if you can wait that long.
NOTES : Can be varied by using brownies instead of cake and softening the
brownies with additional Kahlua or strong coffee.
