We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

The Gospel makes us realize that we are far worse than we ever believed, but God’s love is far greater than we ever imagined. In the Gospel we realize the depths of our sin so we might better understand the greatness of God’s forgiveness. We see God’s holy hatred toward sin, but His incredible mercy in Christ toward the sinner. If God is God, he must inherently oppose that which opposes Him. Unless evil is dealt with, there can be no good news. The bad news is inherently part of the good news!

Delicious Pork Casserole

INGREDIENTS

1 lb Ground pork
1/4 c Chopped onion
1/4 c Diced sweet green pepper (opt)
2 c Diced celery
1 c Cooked rice or cooked macaroni
1 pk Beef noodle soup mix; (1 ounce)
1 pk Onion soup mix; 1 oz
2 c Hot water
1 cn Mushrooms; (4 ounce) undrained
1/2 c Toasted almonds

INSTRUCTIONS

In a skillet combine the ground pork, onion, green pepper, and celery.
Cover and cook on low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to be sure
mixture does not stick. Drain off excess fat. Stir rice or macaroni and
soup mixes into hot water and add with remaining ingredients to skillet.
Spoon into casserole and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Freezes
well. 6-8 serv.
