God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
The love of God to us, and our love to Him, work together for producing holiness. Terror accomplishes no real obedience. Suspense brings forth no fruit unto holiness. No gloomy uncertainty as to God’s favor can subdue one lust, or correct our crookedness of will. But the free pardon of the cross uproots sin, and withers all its branches. Only the certainty of love, forgiving love, can do this.
Christian leadership models itself upon our Lord Jesus Christ. One of the paradoxes of His ministry was that although He was so obviously the leader, He was conspicuously the servant. He illustrated and underlined this truth when He washed the disciples’ feet (John 13). We are spiritually effective as leaders as we follow His example. Although leaders, we are first and foremost servants (Derek Prime and Alistair Begg).
Sprinkle parsley and paprika on top. Mix and let stand 45 minutes, then
bake in greased 9 x 13 inch pan at 300 degrees for 2 hours. Add milk while
baking so it won't get it dry.
