God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
If the Lord will but hear us we will leave it to His superior wisdom to decide whether He will answer us or no. It is better for our prayer to be heard than answered. If the Lord were to make an absolute promise to answer all our requests it might be rather a curse than a blessing, for it would be casting the responsibility of our lives upon ourselves, and we should be placed in a very anxious position: But now the Lord hears our desires, and that is enough; we only wish Him to grant them if His infinite wisdom sees that it would be for our good and for His glory.

INGREDIENTS
1
pk
(8 oz) of Dove Bar candies (dark choc.)
1/2
c
Sugar
1
9 inch graham cracker crust; ( I sometimes use the Oreo crust)
1
c
Heavy Cream
1/2
c
Chopped nuts; ( I use pecans)
INSTRUCTIONS
Melt chocolate in top of double boiler, over hot but not boiling water,
until just melted. Whip cream until peaks begin to form. Gradually add
sugar, beating cream until stiff. Fold warm chocolate into cream, *fold in
nuts and pour into cracker crust. Chill for several hours. * from personal
experience I have substituted pecan halves and placed them only on the top
vs. nuts in the pie. By strategically placing them, almost in a pattern on
top, it not only makes a pretty appearance, but makes cutting much easier.
As mentioned earlier, this freezes very well. I also sometimes jazz it up
by adding white chocolate shavings or wafers on top.
