God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

What must not be lost sight of is that unpleasant as is the task of the jailer and the use of the whip, the cell, the noose, the guillotine, these things stand behind the stability of civilized society, and they stand there necessarily, for God has declared it so, in harmony with reality, rather than with apostate sociological opinion. Government, with its coercive powers is a social necessity, but one determined by the Creator, not by the statistical tables of some university social research staff! No society can successfully vote fines, imprisonment, corporal and capital punishment away permanently. The society which tries has lost touch with realities of man (his fallen sinful state), realities of the world, and the truth of divine revelation in nature, man's conscience, and the Bible (Robert Culver).
Other Authors

[The elect] are gathered into Christ’s flock by a call not immediately at birth, and not all at the same time, but according as it pleases God to dispense His grace to them. But before they are gathered unto that supreme Shepherd, they wander scattered in the wilderness common to all; and they do not differ at all from others except that they are protected by God’s special mercy from rushing headlong into the final ruin of death.

1) In large bowl on low speed mix milk, sugar, oil, eggs, baking powder,
salt, and 1 cup of the flour. scrape bowl constantly and mix only about 30
seconds until combined. Increase speed to medium and continue mixing for 2
minutes scraping bowl as needed.
2) Stir in remaining flour and fruit ( if using fruit )
3) In a high sided fryer heat 2-3 inches of oil. drop batter by
teaspoonsfull into hot oil. as the puffs rise turn them. fry for about 2
minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper
towels or brown bags( these are best if avail )
4) roll puffs in sugar mixture before serving.
Note: at my house we always drained fried foods on brown paper grocery bags
on a cookie sheet in the oven at 200- 250 degrees and they are never
greasy- this works for all fried Chanukah foods.
