God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
If we want the meaning and the worth and the beauty and the power of the cross of Christ to be seen and loved in our churches, and if the design of the death of His Son is not only to reconcile us to God but to reconcile alienated ethnic groups to each other in Christ, then will we not display and magnify the cross of Christ better by more and deeper and sweeter ethnic diversity and unity in our worship and life?

In a 1 1/2 qt. casserole, stir sugar, cocoa, salt, milk and vanilla
together until partially blended (it will be too stiff to blend
thoroughly). Put butter over top in center of dish. Microwave at high for 2
minutes, or until smooth. If all butter has not melted in cooking, it will
as mixture is stirred. Blend in nuts. Pour into lightly-buttered 8x4x3"
dish. Chill 1 hour in refrigerator or 20 to 30 minutes in freezer. Cut into
squares. Makes about 36 squares.
