BASIC R.C. BELIEF Any material help offered out of Christian love to one in need. Almsgiving is called a corporal work of mercy, and helps remit temporal punishment.

CHRISTIAN COMMENT Scripture is very clear that no part of our salvation is due to any kind of work performed (Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; Romans 11:16).
